Find the best type of plan for your organization.

There are several types of health plans available for you to provide to your employees and their families. We can help you find the one that makes the most sense.

PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) plans

PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) plans have contracts with a network of participating medical providers, such as hospitals and doctors. Under the plan, you and your employees will pay less for services if participants use providers that belong to the plan's network.

HMO (Health Maintenance Organization) plans

HMO (Health Maintenance Organization) plans usually provide care with doctors and others who work for (or contract with) the HMO. What makes it different from a PPO is that it generally won't cover out-of-network care except in an emergency.

HSA (Health Savings Account) - qualified plans

HSA (Health Savings Account) - qualified plans are a type of savings account that lets participants set aside untaxed money to pay for qualified medical expenses. HSA-eligible plans may have lower monthly premiums, but deductibles can be higher.

HRA (Health Reimbursement Arrangement)

HRA (Health Reimbursement Arrangement) plans reimburse employees for approved medical and dental expenses. The employer determines a reimbursement amount up to a yearly limit.

Medical employee health benefits can cover:

  • Doctors’ services

    • Primary care
    • Preventative care
    • Catastrophic illness or accident
  • Inpatient and outpatient hospital care

  • Pregnancy and childbirth

Frequently asked questions about Employee Medical insurance.

Under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) if your organization has 50 or more full-time-equivalent employees you are required to provide health insurance.

If your organization has fewer than 50 employees, and you want to provide them with health insurance, you may also qualify for the ACA’s Small Business Health Care Tax Credit. Talk to your agent about your options.

The Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) gives employees who would otherwise lose their coverage the right to choose to continue group health benefits provided by their group health plan for a limited time. COBRA covers situations such as job loss, reduction in the hours, or transition to a new job, as well as death, divorce, and other life events.
